Where Should We Go?

These Sandhill Cranes were walking through our yard, looking very befuddled. They fly over often, but usually in the spring or fall when migrating. A couple of weeks ago I saw two cranes about a mile down the road where there is a little marshy area. Perhaps it is a nesting pair and they were just cruising the neighborhood.
It was raining, windy, and cold, and they must have been kind of miserable.
They don't look very large here, but are bigger than a turkey (certainly built differently)!
