a place to rest

Keiko

He came to us many winters ago from my sister to find a home for him as he was a house soiler. One night after howling at the door too long he ran out into the snow, relieved himself & came right back in. From that point forward he was an indoor/outdoor cat (mostly outdoor). On the nights he graced us with his presence he would sleep at our heads with a paw in my hand.
A few years ago he moved up the street to an old lady's barn. When she moved, he returned to us. He is very much his own boss.
These days he is a bit long in the tooth and is really enjoying life with us again. Today was a glorious day for spending time in the hammock. Keiko decided to join me. I spent a long time laying there with him snoozing on my chest & occasionally meowing at me & rubbing his head against my hand. How sweet these simple pleasures are.
