Corncrake heard, but not seen

Went walking with this group “South West Donegal birdwatchers”, as they were meeting in Portnoo, firstly we went along the path behind the harbour, then back to the beach & over to Inishkeel Island. The main aim was to hear the Corncrake. There seems to be 5, close to the path up from the beach one was calling loudly, but even though it sounded like only meters away, because it was in amongst thick cover, it was not visible, another was in the old church grounds again calling loudly, it seemed to be in nettles, but not at all visible, I was going to blip the photo off nettles!
