Forties Field Pipeline

The 110mile pipeline runs from just south of Peterhead to Grangemouth and was laid in the seventies.
I remember the anxiety that it would damage and disfigure but it was very well landscaped to the point of "disappearing".
I had even forgotten about its existence but today I notice this inconspicuous sign warning digger drivers not to dig.
