Green cars

We went to a friend's birthday party in Reykjavik last night. Since we both had something to drink, red wine for me and beer for M, we decided to leave the car there and take the bus home. One is not allowed to even have 1 drink and get behind the steering wheel here. It worked out OK, we got the first bus at 11.10, and arrived home at just after midnight. It is at times like these that I appreciate living in this country, to be able to walk home from the bus stop after midnight and not be afraid...and it is even light outside!

Today we went in the little electric car, Miffy, to fetch the other car. This is a picture of the 2 cars, both black, parked next to each other in the parking lot at the swimming pool. The Toyota has an added methane tank, so they both are sort of green. We decided to visit the pool in our old neighbourhood which we consider one of the nicest in Reykjavik, while we were in the vicinity.

All in all a great weekend, despite the weather that was awful, rain and rain and more rain.
