Italian Chapel Orkney

There was a bit of haar this morning but it soon cleared. I was up very early so after my breakfast I walked to the town centre and had a good look round the shops. A lot of empty shops and it was very quiet. A came dow with the car about lunchtime and we went to Stromness and had our lunch then a look round the town there. We then took the Houton road and had a few stops then headed back to Kirkwall. We had to get the bus for the ferry at 5.45 and thought we would have to walk down to the Travel Centre but R came home early and gave us a lift.
The bus to the ferry was one of the tour buses so we stopped at the Italian Chapel and the driver told us all about the chapel.
A good journey over on the ferry and when we arrived in John o'Groats the chippy van was still there so we had fish and chips for our tea. A long journey back to Tarbet and we arrived home at 11.30pm.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Orkney and could have stayed longer.
