Stuff

This house has a funny dead space just inside the dining room door. Left to my own devices I would fill every surface in the house with small collections of objects, but as I also hate dusting this is not practical. So I confine my efforts to this little space, created just for this purpose. I like to add, adjust and admire.

There are three shelves - these are the bottom two.

Top:
3 china foals, belonged to my Granny, much loved by all visiting children over 60 years. They ended up in my daughter G's possession when we cleared the house after Grandpa died. How lucky my children are to have not only 4 living grandparents but to have known and remember two great-grandparents too. And I had the joy of seeing them together. Very special.

Bottom:
Needle felt dog in the form and colour of Scout, made by G. His face is very cute!
Owl call whistle. We struggle to get it to make a sound but the box is pretty.
Toadstool salt and pepper shakers. Surely these belong in a fairy tale?
Ladybird. In common with many others of my age I am now expensively re-acquiring the Ladybirds of my childhood that my parents (foolishly!) discarded. I love the animal paintings in this one. And packed with useful information!
