Tribute

The Cranston family saw seven sons go to fight during the First World War. Four were killed, two were very badly injured and only one returned home unscathed.

Today seven soldiers, led by a piper from Haddington Pipe Band, represented the seven brothers. They set off from the family home and marched to the war memorial in the local cemetery.

We took the kids along to pay their respects along with Mrs Smith's mum who had come round for lunch.
