Welcome to Northern Liberties

Finnegans Wake is a pub that runs along the southern border of my neighborhood. (Ironically, it sits in a building that was originally a coffin-building factory.) There is also a welcoming sign on the corner stating that Northern Liberties was established by William Penn in 1682 as Philadelphia's first suburb, though it was swallowed by the city shortly after.
