Dragon Boat Day
Today is officially the hottest day we've experienced in Hong Kong so far. With a scorching 39C at 2pm, I can honestly say that I was melting!
Church was well attended despite the dragon boat races on the beach, we really thought that hardly anyone would show up so were pleasantly surprised.
Headed down to the beach to support our church team, who are pictured here coming in from their third and last race. It was so hot, and I really felt for them. I have paddled before and the practices just do not compare to the intensity of an actual race and the heat of today would have made it that much harder.
Lasted all of 1/2 an hour on the beach before enjoying a fabulous dim sum lunch with Roz and another visitor in HK.
We were thankful to come home to a cool home and enjoy some down time this afternoon. Even watched 'Monuments Men' which was very good.
Martin took Roz to the airport while I got our next guest settled, who's visiting for just one night.
Tomorrow is offiicially Dragon Boat Day and a public holiday, yay, lie in, but sadly Ben has an exam.
