The Genius of Photography
Too damn cold to go outside to Blip today so looked for an inside Blip.
One of my favourite types of Christmas present is a good 'coffee table' book. This year I asked Santa for a copy of 'The Genius of Photography' which is the companion book to the brilliant BBC TV series.
Great for cold winter evenings where I can read all about the history of photography and learn a lot about photographic techniques, styles and composition. Even photos taken back in the nineteenth century can teach modern photographers a lot on these subjects.
This particular page shows what must be one of my favourite photographs of all time...Dorothea Lange's 'Migrant Mother' which was taken in 1936.
