Muirhoose skyline

Can't help but think that Muirhouse is an incredibly photogenic place, particularly with the sun setting behind it.I'm glad the council finally appear to be putting development plans forward and regenerating the area, but these sort of plans are only worthwhile if they keep a good selection of affordable housing in the area so families who have been there for years can choose to stay in it as a renovated area if they wish.

Although knowing the way the council work the locals will probably be marginalised and pushed even further out of the city to preserve the veneer of Edinburgh as an affluent financial capital. Especially now that they've decided to rebrand North Edinburgh, which they were happy to keep as a deprived area for at least a couple of decades, as a plush site for "Waterfront living".
