Gaudi!

Spent a fantastic day checking out some of tBarcelona's sights.

Morning: omlettes and coffee for breakfast, then we caught the bus to the Segrada Familia for a better look. It really is the most incredible sight. Looking at it, It is hard to believe it is not from a Sci-fi film set!

Afternoon: We visited Park Guell, another Gaudi creation, which is choc full of amazing sculptures. I took a lot of pictures, but I chose this detail from the roof of the terrace, because I just love the colours. It was difficult to choose!

I didn't expect to like Gaudi's work that much from the few examples I'd seen previously, however, I was pleasantly surprised. In particular, the mosaic works are amazing.

After a stop off at the Barca stadium (for S and L) we headed back into town.

On the way back to the hotel, J and I detoured to investigate the quality of the local sangria... it was good! :)

Dinner at a local pizza place, followed by tia marias by the hotel pool.
