Winter Road

The weather changed over night from cool yet sunny to a wet and chilly one, fairly appropriate for the first day of winter. After working this morning Jon and I treated ourselves to a breakfast out at a cafe in Footscray. It was an excellent cafe that had the perfect coffee and atmosphere one looks for in cafe, and the food highly satisfied too. The photo above is the street the cafe was on, although you can’t see it as it’s on the corner somewhere way in the background. It was even a lovely street with lots of little cottage type houses packed together and trees arching over the road, hence the reason I decided to take this shot. Stick Jonathan in the middle of it, add a photo filter for effect, and you have yourself a blip.

From there we headed over to highpoint to watch the latest x men movie. It was very entertaining and as it only cost seven dollars more we treated ourselves further by watching it in directors suite.

All in all an excellent Sunday and a great start to winter.
