Party dress and welly wobblers

This is Heidi, who else would go for a dog walk in their party dress and wade around in muddy puddles?

Fairly civilised morning at work, someone brought in a juvenile woodpecker with a cat caused injury (pleeeaaase keep your cats in between dusk and dawn, they are decimating the wildlife particularly at the moment if you choose not to). Vicky and Laura made him a great kennel up with lots of perches that he drilled at with his beak. We also have a baby magpie in that has decided Stef is it's mum. The wildlife hospital is about 45 minutes away and thank goodness for Lornas husband who is a sucker for injured birds as he drove them both over the Stapeley Grange on the promise of me making him a cake. Vet nurses are just brilliant, especially the ones I work with.

We walked down to the Lebanese restaurant ( I think they may be getting bored of seeing us there) for Clive's (f- in law) birthday lunch and then walked the dogs. I dropped Mark and the girls at the cinema and went to the gym and then did a huge shop as the cupboards were bare and we have our street party tomorrow. I have done some midnight baking for it tonight but have lots more to make and organise and we need to buy a BBQ and I have to set up the childrens play area - I am going to have to get up so early!!
