Waiting for Sam

Loitering at Meldrum on a Friday night in glorious sunshine, waiting for Sam to get home from Stirling Safari Park. Tess was getting agitated as it was delaying her social life, the much looked forward to once a month games night in ye olde newmarche. Attendance tonight was a must, for today marked a coming of age moment, as she was asked out by a boy today for the very first time. So, you see, there was much gossiping with friends to do. She turned him down, too small, too horrible to his last girlfriend. I like that she's choosy.

"And what", I asked a bit warily, "does having a boyfriend involve when you are 10?" "Well", she replied, "it means I hang around at playtime with my friends while the boys play football". "Ahhh", I replied. That's okay then.
