End of the line
This is the end of the a 14-kilometre (8.7 mi) line between York Place in New Town and Edinburgh Airport. This was the first day of them running , The first tram left gyle shopping centre about (1.5 miles from the airport) to york place at 5.00 this morning. The trams are 3 yrs late on running and route cut short. The original route was ment to go past ocean terminal where crusie ships come in at times so the idea was the tram to take you from boat to plane. They are hoping to extend the route but Scottish government say they will not out any-more money into extend the route. What you are seeing infront of the tram is the buffers but at the airport end only the buffers are wooden plant pot with plants in the middle, slightly differnt.
