Happy Days

Great day today with Elwin & Sue, short trip on the West Somerset Railway to Watchet, down to Lynton & Lynmouth & then out to the Valley of the Rocks, known for many things, including feral goats. In 1797 Samuel Taylor Coleridge & William Wordsworth visited the valley & decided to write a tale called "The Wanderings of Cain". Sadly, never completed. Later, R. D. Blackmore set part of his novel Lorna Doone in the valley. Such beautiful countryside.
