The workshop of dreams

A violin maker workshop situated in Rouen (Haute-Normandie) which is to me a dream to look at every time. It makes me regret that I cannot play music! The young man working there makes one realise that there is still a future in this noble tradition of making, building, a string instrument piece by piece (not made in China) and it's beautiful to see! In his workshop you can find violins made of various woods, mandolins, sitars, cellos and there is also one double-bass. I would like to enter the shop and watch him work but I feel so unknowledgeable about music that I don't do it. Silly? I know... It's quite strange because I could go into a fine arts supply shop and feel nearly at home with the stuff sold but there I am obviously out of my depth...
