Hospice

The recently re-opened St Columba's Hospice in Trinity. I went there today to visit my friend G who was transferred there from the Western. When I got there I spoke to his mum who said he probably wasn't up for a visit, so I went away again. I'll try and pop along another time and hopefully get to see him then. He has been fighting the cancer for some time. Which puts everything else into perspective somewhat. Sunny day or not. Apologies for the downbeat blip. Seeing the kids out on the park behind the flat reminded me of other sunny Saturdays and playing in mixed hockey tournaments with the S&N crowd . G always had so much energy, seeming to cover twice as much of the pitch as everyone else. Life is unfair.
