Jetsetting

Rory and I are off to Crete for a week of adventuring, exploring and walking! I could explode with excitement about travelling to a new place!

Neither of us have been to Greece before, however Rory's Gran and Papa told us it's a must see. So we're off to walk the Samaria Gorge and explore Crete in memory of George.

It's been a long day: I got the bus to Edinburgh, met Rory, helped Rory pack, and then we headed to the airport where out 4 and a half hour plane journey awaited us! By time we got to Crete and picked up the hire car, it was nearly midnight local time so our drive to the hotel did not have spectacular views! Rory found it really odd driving on the wrong side of the road!

I cannot wait to wake in the morning and see our first proper glimpse of Crete!
