the king stone
the king stone is a large standing stone erected to mark a bronze age cemetry dating about 1800-1500 bc. excavations in the 1980's identified a previously unknown circular stone burial chamber. it had a central burial chamber and contained several human cremations. the king stone is along side the rollright stones a circular set of standing stones in oxfordshire less than an hour away
it really is at this angle too
this morning i attended my outpatients appointment at the hospital. i was in hysterics kaughing twice. first time a 'nutter' asked the incredibly crowded waiting room if he could change the channel on the overhead tv,i had a cup of coffee in my good hand and obviously an incapacitated left handso i said loudly 'i mind'
he was oblivious to all sorts of protests and changed the channel to kids tv ... he had no kids ....it tickled me so much that he had asked a of room of
variously incapacitated people who couldn't raise a limb between them and it was so noisy he couldn't hear the mumurs of protest.
next laugh was a nurse kept coming out and asking for gordon brown hiss hiss boo boo
third laugh.... not... the receptionist lost my notes ,after an hour and half i went to ask how long it would be they had no record of me ...anyway i was soon whisked through.
had another xray saw the specialist who said i had neglible misalignment no scaphoid bone injury which is to do with your thumb and very important.
that the 2 breaks was 'a significant injury but ihe could see no potential problem i have to wear a cast for 4 weeks and then maybe some physio..but that's it.
all in all it only took three and half hours ....and hardly any hurting took place
oh and nowadays it's a fibreglass cast and you have a choice of colours ...
all will be revealed in due course
edit exhausted will catch-up with you all tomorrow and anyway camera shy is waiting to do his entry
