Coruisk from Sgurr Na Stri

Whose bright idea was that? The 15 miles in and back from Sligachan to Sgurr Na Stri might have been bogless (unlike yesterday's ascent of Dun Caan), but by eck you could feel the, by the end of the walk.

I've blipped Loch Coruisk before (though from much lower down) almost exactly four years to the day, but it's a view worthy of multiple blips, so here it is again. Had some nice chats with fellow walkers on our way back (from a young Dutch girl so had deposited her big bag half a mile back to carry the essentials and her tent to camp for the night, and who was also very aware of the Dutch invasion of the Isles; to an older couple also from Edinburgh who had climbed Marsco the day before and were clearly enjoying the still-settled weather).

The walk round to the local restaurant (Red Skye, about 2/3rds of a mile away) after a short soak in the tub was a little more challenging than would otherwise be the case, but it made for a nice end to our week back on Skye, falling I love with it again, and sort-of wishing we were here for another week instead of off to Harris (which will be fab).

The wild swimming blip from Monday made BBC Scotland's Photos of the Week, which is nice (even if my email message got garbled and we were only near Loch Slapin and not actually in it...).
