I used a local florist, based in the post office in the village I used to live in to send some flowers to an old friend of mine (literally old, she's 84?, 85? I've lost track), Peggy*. In the afternoon, the florist called to tell me that Peggy had gone on holiday and that they'd just make another bouquet next week and deliver once she gets back from Spain. Cool eh? You wouldn't get that kind of service from an online/interflora company.
