Final day :(
Last day of our holiday today and it was a trip to Padstow.
We set off for Rock and the twins were very excited to be going on their first boat trip - a 5-10 minute ferry ride across the camel estuary.
We landed at the beach due to the tides so had a short walk into Padstow first.
We wandered around the harbour and saw lots of people with crab nets and a wide assortment of bait trying their luck hanging over the harbour wall! Not for the faint hearted! A few people had some success and Henry in particular was fascinated by the crabs in the buckets!
We spent a while wandering around the harbour area and then up to the 'Rick Stein' area where his cookery school, deli and fish and chip shop are located. We had planned to eat here (part of the reason for going to Padstow) and queued for just under an hour to be able to sit inside. I was very pleased (and somewhat relieved) to find that the wait was worth it and I enjoyed a very tasty haddock and chips! Today's blip was then worthy!!
We then walked off lunch around some of the side streets and filled ourselves up completely on ice cream before heading back on the ferry!
Another fab day :)
