Kingsgate Bay

For my birthday, back in March, we decided to have a day out in Broadstairs but it was a tonsillitis-filled affair and I didn't really enjoy it. Today we tried again and it was lovely.

A gorgeous lunch at Wyatt & Jones with a view over Viking Bay followed by a walk and an ice cream along the cliffs and back along the beach. Glorious sunshine with a chilly wind.

On the way home we stopped at Kingsgate Bay (pictured) which is just a few bays round from Broadstairs. The impressive building on the cliff is Kingsgate Castle which has been converted into private flats.
