Nearly there

Took this a couple of hours before I land in the UK. Been a good flight, no turbulence at all. In fact, the plane in 7 hours has managed to stay at an altitude of 35,000 +/-3 feet the entire journey.

It was a good day all things considered. My friend who prepped the Mercedes has done a stunning job, but can't help but wonder if a few of his grey hairs isn't so much age, as this car. A red light on the dash came on a day earlier and he had resigned himself to "not touching it, whatever I fix, something else goes wrong". Don't blame him. I can fix the red light with a bit of black tape over it. Still, he's done a stunning job keeping this car going, it really was a pig. Next year we buy something nicer from the start.

The morning ended with me practically raiding his and his other halfs snow gear. I am damned(!) DAMNED (I say) if I'm going to be cold on the mountain this year. I have winter gear.
