At Santa Pod to watch the drag racing (our Christmas gift to B, so we all went) and sitting in grandstand seats opposite the starting line so had a perfect view. The green light has just gone on and these two have the pedal to the metal - and if you look in the largest setting (L, then Ctrl and twiddle the mouse) you might see the distortion on the rear tyre as the car accelerates.

The chap on the right really should have done what everyone else did, and supplied himself with effective ear defenders, as the noise of those engines is, quite literally, deafening - those mechanics aren't wearing them as a fashion accessory.

While everywhere else was under siege from rain we sat in blazing sunshine - a fun day.
