Domestic Fungi

A plumbing crisis in the house where I live caused me to figure out all the problems of the drain pipes. These mushrooms are a side effect of a leak behind the wall of a long-disused bathroom on the ground floor. Repairing the damage from the leak will become the largest part of the repairs.

This repair project turns out to be a happy event for me because although it has unpleasant aspects, I am able to set everything right. I feel needed, capable, and healthy when I ask myself, How did I get here, to this stinky basement, opening pipes in the middle of the night?

Just a few years ago, I would have been a helpless bystander in this crisis, being quite poorly then.
