Preparing For Handover

The male grebe had been sitting on the eggs. The female has floated by but doesn't look too eager to resume duties.

Bit of a catastrophic day for this lens. I'd dropped it the day before and it wasn't seated properly in the camera, so was lucky to get this shot. I think it's sorted now but will have to see.
