A Classic

This is a 1955 Ford Fairline Sunliner convertible that was parked in Carlsbad on Memorial Day. How fitting that this quintessentially "summer" car be out showing off on the summer kickoff weekend. The owners obviously take great pride in it, given its pristine condition. Out of curiosity, I looked up prices for this model on the internet. You, too can have one for somewhere between $50,00 and $150,000 (depending on condition, of course!)

While our daughter was here, I treated us both to spa pampering at the local mineral water spa. Their alkaline mineral water, from an aquifer dug in 1882, was featured on the Oprah Winfrey show and declared by California's legislature to be the purest water in the state. Not sure I am trusting either testimonial, but the massage and facial were heavenly.
