Shasta Daisy.
Shasta daisies grow in the Church garden which is tended by Ann and Eric, who cuts the lawned area. There are many well established shrubs and trees growing there.
The Shasta daisy, Chrysanthemum maximum, like the large Ox-eye daisy, is a robust plant that grows to just over a metre, with tall stiff stems. This daisy has magnificent large flowerheads, pure white petals and a golden yellow "eye".
They flower from July to September and look impressive in borders or cottage garden style planting.
The weather here continues to be overcast and cold enough for a light fleece outdoors. The sandals and sunnies have been put to one side again.
I have discovered the almost addictive joy of playing online Scrabble on my Hudl.
If I play at Beginner level, with some effort, I can consistently win against the computer teacher. The teacher tells you how you could have gained a better score which is worth knowing.
It is EA Scrabble, and a free Tablet app.
If you are clever at it, you can play with several players. Paul plays Greg and family.
I am still playing by myself, but enjoying learning new words I have never heard of before. I am making a note of these to use at some future time.
Have a good weekend blipper friends.
I literally forgot the quote yesterday, so sorry about that.

Happiness quote:
"It is neither wealth nor splendour, but tranquillity and occupation which bring one happiness."
