Aflutter

Toady, between the conference ending and my afternoon appointment, I had a couple of hours to spare. I had to drop a friend from the conference out at Richmond so I took the opportunity to duck round to my monarch butterfly clustering spot to see what they were up to. It was a beautiful afternoon so most of the butterflies were out and about. There was one cluster but it was very high and I didn't have my big lens with me so I didn't bother with them - I'll have to go back another time!

I spent an hour chasing butterflies around the park. I must have looked funny in my work heels and conference clothes chasing about in the grass and mud.

This one was enjoying a meal of hebe nectar.
