True love does not exist...

And so my Angelina Jolie obsession continues today. Bought a ticket to watch Maleficent at Vue cinema in Leam. It was indeed a very different story from what i have seen when i was a child. The movie though was very anti-climactic. Just when you thought that a scene is about to reach a very high emotional turn, the next shot tries to tone it down several notches. But i would say that makes the movie a little bit different from the "default" disney movies that i have seen. This one doesn't prolong a scene too much.

And Angelina Jolie, or Maleficent, just stole the show from Elle Fanning. It's high time that Disney movies do concepts like these, show the villain's side of the story. Even if it means totally changing the story that we have been used to. And there is a trend that's been happening in movies right now that requires a true love's kiss. Now, you don't need a man to provide the damsel in distress the kiss or the act of true love that is needed, it could be from a woman! Case in point, Frozen (Elsa to Ana) and this one, Maleficent to Aurora.
