Candy Fist

I thrusted my camera into a jar of old candy canes in my mother's kitchen. Her birthday is today. She reassures us every year that she is used to her birthday being an afterthought of Christmas. Everyone is always partied out. She says she understands but in this photo, I noticed the candy canes were secretly forming a fist...just like my mom if she doesn't get the celebration she rightly deserves on her birthday!
