Svartisen Glacier....x 2

Had a wonderful day....was up til 2.00am taking pictures of the last sunset we will see for a while...which was unbelievable....as we crossed The Arctic Circle just after 07.00am ( champagne and beans on toast for breakfast!) so now the sun won't set again until we turn around after the North Cape. After a few hours sleep I then got off the ferry at 08.00 to get the little boat to this Glacier. The whole journey was jaw dropping, and the walk from the tiny jetty up to Svartisen was awesome. I have so many pics to choose from...and I don't think this is the one I actually like the most personally...but apparently it is pretty rare to get the weather to get this perfect reflection of the Glacier. This was taken from the little boat and so I was moving deceptively quickly and had to crop our own ripples out....but I thought i'd pick this one as the best "postcard" of where I have been today. Hope you like it. Look large for the detail of the solid ice flow in the middle of the picture. Will be up ino early hours again as the weather is permitting us to go down a very narrow and steep fjord which is usually only possible in late summer....oh well, can sleep when I'm back at work !!!
