Two of a kind

On my walk round the neighbourhood today I spotted two pigeons and a drake eyeing one another up on the grass near the duckpond. As I approached the drake decided to waddle off to the water and the pigeons flew up to the branch of an overhanging tree. They sat perfectly still and appeared to be looking down enviously at the waterfowl touring around the pond in his element.
