nest in the cattails

I am very blessed to live near many nature centers within a 15 minute drive. I have the choice of a mountain canyon setting full of hummingbirds, a prairie setting with songbirds, or a wetlands area featuring herons and turtles. Today Hubby and I went to the wetlands.
And here is a peek through the cattails at the nest and nestlings of two Red Wing Blackbirds.
