Bobbing on the clover...
... Funny old verb 'to bob'.
Who was is who said 'don't call your children verbs?'
(Apologies to the many Blanches, Dawns and Wills etc).
I notice (on TV especially) they often use 'to bob' to allude to what I might call 'to pop'.
(I sound as though I've wandered onto the set of 'Miranda' -
Good evening to you, thank you please by the way).
Bobbing to the shops sounds much more fun than my version.
Isn't the English language fun? (Such fun?)
I don't even watch 'Miranda', honestly. I just know people who do :-)
Meal time again then...
One of these days it'll be me who says, 'what's for dinner?'
What shall it be for dinner I wonder?
