Onggi potter

We watched this delightful man create a giant ceramic onggi pot from scratch...rolling out and bouncing long slabs on the floor and then hand building on a sunken kick wheel (so he would still be able to reach the top!)

Hard to describe, but unforgettable. Onggi pots are used throughout Korea to store grains and fermented veggies including kimchi - way cooler than Tupperware :)
