Avengers Assemble...

“Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.” - Grant Morrisson.

What a dreadful day, grey and very very wet. I picked a real good week to take off work (I may have been on sarcasm pills again) Kids and I had to go in to town for a few things including some Avengers comics for me. I've been wanting to make some comic book shoes for ages and because of the awful weather it seemed like the perfect opportunity. So after an hour of cutting out small geometric shapes and some kapows and some of my favourite Avengers I got to work with the Mod Podge. I have to be honest after almost five hours (with breaks for cups of tea of course) I had lost the will to live, I figure I shouldn't have covered two pairs of shoes straight after each other. They still need to be coated a few more times, then sanded, then coated again and then buffed and then and only then can I wear them...whoop, COMIC BOOK SHOES....Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man on my feet.
