Land of the Long White Cloud

New Zealand is also known as Aotearoa, which is Maori for Land of the Long White cloud. And it was certainly that today.

We went down To Patiti Point, and the weather was lovely, almost like Summer, then in an instant, the wind came up and nearly knocked me off my feet, and the temperature plummeted. I was getting sand in my eyes, so I headed back to wait in the car. The wind was so strong, the car was wobbling like a tumble dryer.

Thankfully, this paddle surfer made it back to shore in time.

So far, it's still sunny, but the wind is strong and cool.
