Emergency blip!

No time tonight and nothing I've seen today has made me grab for the cameraphone.

The rain has done a good job of watering my hanging baskets, saved me a job!

When my dad was alive and came to visit he would "weigh" the baskets by lifting them up from underneath supporting their weight to check if they had been watered.

I was in trouble if they hadn't, he hated to see plants and flowers being neglected, so generally if I knew he was coming I'd make sure they were well watered!

I use the same method now to assess whether or not they need some water. Usually works quite well!
