The last entry of the Blip365 ..... Xxxxx
Ohhhh what a beautiful, sunny day it was today again...
Mike got Eva up and washed again this morning, then brought her into me, still in bed, for her milk, in just her nappy as it was soooo warm. It was so lovely to get a proper squidge. After her milk, we rubbed sun cream on her and then dressed her back in her lovely Summer dress that she'd had on only briefly yesterday morning. She does look a pretty bit in it.
After breakfast, Mike went off to junior hockey training and I walked Eva round to her Nanny and Grandad's in her buggy. She absolutely loves walks in her buggy, and today was no exception. Her little bare legs and feet were kicking away in happiness and she was pointing at everything and opening her mouth wide, the way she does, to show surprise (such cuteness).
We sat outside at my mom and Peter's as it was such a lovely day. Eva was unsure about the feel of the grass on her bare legs, so we put a throw down in the end for us all to sit on and she loved it. I got some gorgeous photos of Eva with her Nanny and Grandad, it was hard to know which one to pick for today's blip photo. This will actually be the final photo of her Blip365 book.
I got Eva back for 12.30pm so she could have her sleep. She was fast asleep in her cot by 12.50 and slept til 3pm when grandad (my Dad) came round to see us. Both my dad and I read 'Where's Spot?' over and over, with Eva opening the flaps and saying 'no' to each page, as she's started doing, it is so so cute.
I did us a salad for dinner this evening, which included jacket potatoes, salad and roast chicken. Eva only wanted bread and butter and kept taking everything else out of her mouth, so in the end I did her some baby cereal so she wouldn't be hungry going to bed, she ate the lot.
Tonight, Mike was getting Eva to say all the words she now knows, it was wonderful to hear her gorgeous little voice saying.... no, yes, ducks, doggy, yellow, daddy, teddy, moo, baa, tickle tickle and baby. It still seems quiet surreal hearing her speak actual words, but it's such exciting times.
Mike then bathed Eva and they had such a great time playing with Eva's bath toys in the bath. Eva loves her baths and Mike always has a lovely album playing on his iPod as he baths her. For ages it was Simply Red live in Cuba, but tonight it was The Commodores. I got quite choked hearing "Three times a lady" being played to her as I listened from downstairs.
Eva was so so tired tonight and actually didn't want as much milk as usual, she just wanted to go to bed, bless her. So I kissed her goodnight, whispered that I loved her so so much and tucked her in. Xxxx
This is actually the final entry of Eva's 365blip book. I have 'ummed and arred' about what to do next and don't think I can stop "blipping" entirely. Our memories are far too precious. So, I think I may complete entries randomly from now on, so watch this space.....
May 2012 was the most exciting month of my life when I finally saw those 2 lines that I'd been longing to see ..... I then went on to have the most exciting 9 months of my life, as I finally experienced the miracle of pregnancy .... No one could have prepared me for the emotions I would experience meeting our baby girl for the first time ... People say that "you don't know love until you become a parent", I now totally 'get' what they were talking about. I feel it is impossible to ever love anything or anyone more and I have loved writing all about it. xxxx
