Vacancy....

.....I noticed this vacancy today when I was trawling websites looking for advert wording ideas for a vacant role I'm about to advertise. I wonder how many people from abroad applied for a job as a website developer in Kabul?

So, I know I indulge in the odd rant, but I do find all this belly-aching about the snow a little irksome. The same people would be moaning just as much if the winter precipitation was falling as rain. I much prefer the trade-off between drawbacks and benefits of snow over other winter weather. Reasons to like snow;

1. People are more sociable and inclined to help each other.
2. Everyone has a good excuse for not working late or coming in late.
3. I get to sit by my warm and cozy fireplace and look out the window and feel happy.
4. It's pretty, even the yellow stuff.
5. It makes me want to eat soup.
6. The world is quieter; less traffic and general noise is dampened.
7. I enjoy shoveling it and spreading salt on my section of the pavement.
8. I get to wear hiking boots with my pin stripes and I don't look out of place
9. Fashionistas wear silly wellies
10. It makes me want to eat soup....did I say that already?
