A damp walk from Wark
It's Wednesday so the Haltwhistle Walkers were out in force. 22 of us tackled an 11 mile walk from the village of Wark (pronounced W-ARK as in Noah's ark). The forecast was for rain all day, but we were lucky and had only showers in the morning with the heavier rain did not come until mid afternoon.
Due to the forecast, I did not take a camera with me, so had to rely on my iphone. Here is one of many hawthorn trees that were all in full blossom today. The Queen Ann's lace was also frothy and beautiful.
