National Unwanted Pet Week

As it's National Unwanted Pet Week we decided today was a good day to visit the Wood Green Animal Shelter. We love a good day out with Nana!

It's been a bit drizzly again but we still had a great time. A nice lunch in the restaurant and then a look around the animals. There was loads to see. Horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, cats, dogs, rabbits and mice to name a few. There was even a play park for the little ones. It's like no animal shelter I've ever been too. They are usually such dreary places but this was more like a visitor attraction with the added bonus of taking the exhibits home if you so wished. I keep trying to convince myself that we don't want another cat but I saw a gorgeous little black and white kitten....oh dear we might be taking a return trip!
