GRACE NOT DISGRACE

This is the nameboard from one of the boats near Beckside, Beverley, East Yorkshire, UK.

An old river barge, Mary Grace was the subject of a legal battle a couple of years ago. Basically the Local Council wanted to stop the owners living on board. At that time Mary Grace was berthed in the town of Driffield.

I am not sure where the owners live now, but Mary G is still gracing the towpath with dignity.
