Tonight I met Joseph on my way to dinner. He asked for "some spare change" and I asked for a photo. Deal.

Joseph is from Texas and has lived in Maine for the past five years, lured here by a job prospect. The job fell through, but he's been here ever since, living with a group of friends and trying to make ends meet. He said it was especially cold this winter, nothing like Texas. Joseph had a certain gentleness about him that led me me to instantly like him. A quality that immediately puts me at ease. Nice to meet you Joseph - I wish you all the best.
