Snow Day

We awoke this morning to a blanket of snow 5" deep. Bliss for us, not so for Mr Law who was due in for a 7am start. At 5:30am the gritters hadn't been through and he just couldn't get out of the village.

The gritter, with it's snow plough, came through at just gone 9:30am and so we dug the car out and he set off to Leicester, he arrived just after 11am. I hope he'll be able to make it home tonight. Evidently he's been dealing with no end of broken wrist's today.

We, on the other hand, walked to the local shop for some cat food and eggs. I've made chocolate brownies. The boy has been out building snowmen and throwing snowballs and generally having ace fun. I've lit the fire and now I intend to park myself near it and bask in it's warmth, and shall only move away from it to make Toad in the Hole for tea...
